When you need more than traditional talk therapy...

You are stuck in an endless cycle

You understand your patterns, but you still find yourself caught in cycles of reactivity, disconnection, and fear.

Your body has learned that its not safe

You sense that much of your pain comes from childhood. You feel it in your body, but it’s hard to put into words.

You want more than the absence of symptoms

You’ve done trauma work, or looked into approaches like EMDR, and something in you wants the healing to reach further. Not just fewer symptoms, but access to your intuition, your spirit, and a life that actually feels free.

You sense that you need to move toward - not away - from your pain

You’ve been numbing, or trying every healing modality under the sun, and you’re starting to see that you’ve been running from your pain. Something in you knows that healing means turning toward it, but that feels too scary to do alone.

Insight alone is not always enough

Sometimes you understand exactly why you do what you do—and still can’t seem to change it.

That’s what happens when trauma lives in the nervous system, below the reach of insight alone. Your body adapted to survive something real, and it may still be running that old program long after the danger has passed.

The way through isn’t more analysis. It’s learning to work with the body itself, as well as the younger parts of you that learned to survive. This is where the pattern lives—and where deeper healing can begin.

I am here to support you!

Krista Sabados, licensed marriage and family therapist

I'm [Krista Sabados](/about), a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. My practice, Source Healing, is built around depth work: getting to the source of your pain and working with you as a whole person, not a collection of symptoms. I want to know your history, your wounds, your strengths, and the ways you learned to survive. We build the work from there. My work draws from somatic and mind-body trauma therapy, parts work, psychodynamic therapy, grief support, DBT, CBT, and Mindful Self-Compassion. I'm particularly drawn to approaches that reach places insight alone often cannot. One of those is the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), which I trained in directly with its developer, Lisa Schwarz. CRM was built for complex trauma and early attachment wounds. It starts by building internal and embodied resources, so that when you turn toward the pain, you turn toward it feeling safe, supported, and connected to your own intuition. When you go to the root with enough resource in place, the nervous system can lay down a new response. The old protective patterns, whether that's addiction, dissociation, or reactivity, stop being the only option available. CRM is not EMDR. Both are trauma-focused, and EMDR is a well-established treatment. CRM works differently: it builds resources before processing, and it engages body, mind, and, spirit.

So what could life actually look like?

Your body as a place you live, not a thing you manage. Mornings that don't start with dread. A nervous system that can settle. Saying no without a three-day guilt spiral. Loving people deeply without bracing for what it might cost you. Feeling your feelings without being flooded by them. Trusting your own intuition again. Real sovereignty over your life. Joy.

Not becoming someone new. Returning to the self that was there all along.

You don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. Start with a free 15-minute consultation, and we’ll talk about what’s been happening and whether this work is the right fit.

Do you take insurance?

For individual therapy, yes. I accept Medicare, and I’m in-network with Kaiser Permanente, Anthem Blue Cross California, Aetna, Cigna, and Health Net, among others. See FAQs and Fees for the full list of accepted plans.

Couples work and intensives are private pay. Insurance requires a diagnosis and dictates session length and structure, and this work doesn’t fit that frame.

Don’t see your plan? Reach out anyway. Many plans include out-of-network benefits, and I can provide a superbill for reimbursement. I’m also happy to discuss private pay rates.

I’ll walk you through your benefits on the consultation call.
